Truliant Federal Credit Union

The Cabarrus Chamber was proud to celebrate the grand opening of Truliant Federal Credit Union’s newest Harrisburg branch with a ribbon-cutting. This location replaces their previous branch in the School House Commons Shopping Center, which had been serving the community since 2014.

a thriving member-owned cooperative

Founded in 1952 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Truliant began as Radio Shops Federal Credit Union, serving employees of Western Electric. What started with about 2,000 members has grown into a thriving member-owned cooperative serving over 350,000 members through more than 35 locations across the Carolinas and Virginia.

Truliant’s mission has remained steadfast for over 70 years—to improve lives by putting members first, providing excellent service, and offering straightforward financial solutions. They provide honest, personalized advice to help members achieve brighter financial futures, with products and services including deposit accounts, lending options, credit cards, mortgages, insurance products, and financial planning for both personal and business needs.

As a not-for-profit, member-owned credit union, Truliant is committed to more than just financial services—they aim to make a positive impact in the communities where they live and work. This commitment has earned them national recognition, including being named to Forbes and Statista’s Best-in-State Credit Unions List.

By opening their new Harrisburg location, Truliant continues to strengthen its connection with the community, providing convenient access and modern amenities for members, while staying true to the values that have guided them for decades.
