Join Our Advocacy Meetings
All Chamber members are welcome to participate in our Advocacy Committee meetings, which take place on the first Thursday of every other month at 8:00 a.m. at the Cabarrus Center. Meetings are filled with up-to-date information from knowledgeable members and guest presenters.

Municipal, state and federal elections are all very important and impactful to local businesses’ bottom lines, and The Chamber encourages each member to make sure their voice is heard by voting. Municipal elections traditionally have the lowest turnout, yet some of the most important issues are at stake.
The Chamber Advocacy Committee
Members of the Advocacy Committee prepare our annual document, which is presented to the Chamber Board of Directors for approval. The document guides us as we examine issues and take action on matters important to our region. We believe that business and government working together responsibly creates the best economy.
Advocacy Positions are distributed to chamber members, as well as elected and public officials. The committee makes recommendations on policy issues to our executive committee, which are then presented to the board of directors. The board approves resolutions in support of the recommendations.
