Business Advocacy
The Chamber believes that the best economy is created when all sectors of a community work together responsibly.
We also believe that voting is the most effective way to have your voice heard. Stay informed, get to know candidates and elected officials, and respectfully share your views.

The Cabarrus County Election Hub
The Chamber partnered with The Civic Knowledge Initiative, the nonprofit arm of The Charlotte Ledger, to provide Cabarrus County election coverage through The Election Hub, a website dedicated to making it easy for every citizen to find, understand, and act on reliable information about their local government and elected officials.
Advocacy is Showing Up, Speaking Up, and Working Together
When people think about a Chamber of Commerce, they think networking events, business promotion, and educational opportunities. While those are critical parts of what we do, there’s another role that is just as vital: advocacy.
At our chamber, advocacy means raising the collective voice of business in local, state, and federal government. It means showing up, speaking up, and working with decision-makers to create a stronger, more vibrant community for both businesses and residents, regardless of political affiliation. We are honored to work with whomever our community elects to serve.
Our Public Policy Council, appointed by our board of directors, meets regularly to discuss concerns and issues that need to be addressed and works with our board to develop appropriate responses.

The Chamber offers Listening Sessions throughout the year for members to meet and discuss any legislative concerns. Members are also encouraged to contact Barbi Jones, president/CEO, with any immediate concerns at bjones@cabarrusncchamber.org.
Legislative Agenda
The Chamber supports legislative action that promotes a strong quality of life by fostering a growing economy for our county, region, and state. We believe that the state must focus on developing a skilled workforce, promoting economic development, and supporting local businesses to strengthen the economy and improve the lives of our residents.
