Cabarrus County is under an Ice Storm Warning beginning Saturday at 1:00 p.m. through Monday at 1:00 p.m. Here is the forecast for your reference. There is great concern that accumulation of ice on powerlines could result in power outages. Our friends at Duke Energy have a wonderful resource page on things to think about and prepare before an outage occurs.
Should your power go out, here’s who to call:
- If City of Concord provides your power, call 704.920.5555. Track outage restoration at concordnc.gov/outages
- If you are a Duke Energy customer, you can call 1.800.419.6356, visit their website or text “OUT” to 57801.
