The Town of Harrisburg is excited to launch the One Harrisburg Strategic Comprehensive Plan. This community-driven effort will shape a shared vision for Harrisburg’s growth, development, and quality of life over the next 10 to 20 years. This milestone marks the Town’s first-ever Strategic Comprehensive Plan, setting the foundation for a shared vision that will shape Harrisburg’s future.

The One Harrisburg plan is designed to outline goals and priorities that will guide the Town’s growth, development, and investments for years to come. As the Town of Harrisburg continues to experience rapid expansion, establishing a thoughtful and sustainable framework for managing change is more important than ever.
This plan helps ensure smart, intentional growth strategies are established to reflect the values and vision of the Harrisburg community.

To develop the plan, the Town of Harrisburg is partnering with Bolton & Menk, a nationally recognized planning and design firm. Together, the team is engaging with residents, business owners, and regional stakeholders to ensure a cohesive, community-driven vision for Harrisburg’s future.

Throughout the coming months, the Town will host a series of neighborhood meetings, Open Houses, a survey, and multiple “pop-up” engagement events to gather input from residents. These activities will help identify community priorities and guide the planning team in drafting policies and recommendations that reflect Harrisburg’s unique character and aspirations. “Harrisburg has seen tremendous growth over the past decade, and now is the time to come together as a community to shape what our next chapter looks like,” said Town Manager, Rob Donham. “The One Harrisburg Plan gives residents, businesses, and stakeholders a voice in how we build a future that reflects our shared values; one that is connected, vibrant, and sustainable.”
The Town encourages residents to visit the project website learn more about the process, upcoming meetings, and ways to participate. Regular updates will also be shared on the Town’s website, social media channels, and through community newsletters.
