Built in the heart of Harrisburg Park, the new Harrisburg YMCA will serve as a community hub where residents can gather, grow, and connect. The Town of Harrisburg played a vital role, partnering with the YMCA to make this project possible, contributing $3,173,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funding and donating the land at Harrisburg Park. In return, the YMCA will provide new indoor gymnasium space for the Town’s youth basketball leagues and additional Town programming. Additionally, all Harrisburg residents will receive a discount membership to join the YMCA. This contribution reflects the Town of Harrisburg’s long-term commitment to providing high-quality amenities close to home. It also reflects the Town’s mission to enhance the quality of life by supporting families, promoting wellness, and creating spaces where the community can create memories to last a lifetime.
