  • Multiple Gymnasiums
  • Health and Wellness Center
  • Group Exercise Studio
  • Youth and Teen Program Space
  • Community Health Center

The Town of Harrisburg partnership

The Town of Harrisburg played a vital role, partnering with the YMCA to make this project possible, contributing $3,173,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant funding and donating the land at Harrisburg Park. In return, the YMCA will provide new indoor gymnasium space for the Town’s youth basketball leagues and additional Town programming. Additionally, all Harrisburg residents will receive a discount membership to join the YMCA. This contribution reflects the Town of Harrisburg’s long-term commitment to providing high-quality amenities close to home. It also reflects the Town’s mission to enhance the quality of life by supporting families, promoting wellness, and creating spaces where the community can create memories to last a lifetime.
“It is an honor and pleasure to have just a small hand in this project that has been over a decade in the making,” said Town of Harrisburg Mayor Jennifer Teague. “The investment from our Town and our state is even more symbolic than a monetary contribution – it represents a true partnership that establishes long-term support and sustainability, which is crucial for our success as a Town and for our community YMCA. This building will stand as a testament to what we can achieve when we share a vision for our future and work together to make it happen.”
On September 30, a media hour will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., offering an opportunity for local outlets to tour the new facility before the official ribbon cutting.
