Cabarrus County 2025 Jobs Champion

Cabarrus County Delegation’s Strong Pro-Growth Voting Record Recognized by NC’s Leading Statewide Business Advocate

The NC Chamber named Sen. Todd Johnson (Dist. 35), Sen. Chris Measmer (Dist. 34), Rep. Jonathan Almond (Dist. 73), Rep. Grant Campbell, M.D. (District 8) and Rep. Brian Echevarria (Dist. 82) as 2025 Jobs Champion in its annual How They Voted report. How They Voted details state legislators’ voting records on bills identified as critical to preserving and enhancing North Carolina’s position as a top state for business. The entire Cabarrus County delegation was recognized as a Jobs Champion for voting with the NC Chamber’s Jobs Agenda at least 80 percent of the time during the 2025 legislative session of the North Carolina General Assembly.

“Investment in economic development and growth strategies results in good-paying jobs and lower taxes for our communities,” said Barbi Jones, president and CEO, The Chamber Leading Business in Cabarrus. “We appreciate our entire North Carolina General Assembly delegation’s support of these important laws that ensure a positive trajectory for Cabarrus County and North Carolina.”

“As we work to protect and advance North Carolina’s standing as a top state for business, job creators rely on leaders who take decisive action to keep our state competitive,” said NC Chamber President and CEO Gary Salamido. “The leadership demonstrated by this year’s Jobs Champions strengthens North Carolina’s ability to grow, attract investment, and expand opportunities for families and communities across North Carolina.”
