There are several exciting upcoming live performances at The Swanee Theatre. This weekend, enjoy iconic throwback hits from legendary R&B Group The Tams (Friday, February 27) and Chicago Rewired, the Premier Chicago Tribute Band (Saturday, February 28). Next weekend, Saturday March 7, mega-hit country music group LANCO brings their “We’re Gonna Make It Tour” to the stage.

The Tams

During the peak of Beatlemania in 1964, the Atlanta-based R&B vocal group The Tams successfully carved out their own space on the charts. Their song “What Kind of Fool (Do You Think I Am)” reached the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, defying the unprecedented chart dominance of The Beatles and other acts of the British Invasion. Competing with the British Invasion The Tams scored their biggest American hit during one of the most competitive periods in pop music history.
Chicago Rewired – Tribute to “Chicago ®”

LANCO

Formed nearly a decade ago, LANCO has cemented itself as one of country music’s most dynamic acts. Their debut album, “Hallelujah Nights”, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and featured the 2X Platinum hit “Greatest Love Story” and the Platinum-certified “Born to Love You.” Their catalog also includes albums, “Lessons Learned”, “Honky Tonk Hippies”, and “Run, Run Baby”.
LANCO continued their evolution with their sophomore album, “We’re Gonna Make It”, showcasing a fresh yet authentic sound rooted in storytelling and heartland energy. Most recently, the band released “Call You a Friend,” a new collaboration with Eli Young Band, ahead of their joint headline run.
The band has earned nominations from the Country Music Association, American Music Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and the Academy of Country Music Awards, taking home ACM New Duo/Group of the Year. The band has shared the stage with acts like Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Dierks Bentley, and Kane Brown.
