The City of Kannapolis is the perfect place for a field trip for your daycare, summer school program, or your family.

We offer many opportunities for summer fun including $2 summer Gem Theatre matinee movies every Tuesday and Thursday from May to August and the popular Swanee Children’s Theatre Series. You can also enjoy an outing to Village Park where children will enjoy the train, carousel, and the splashpad.

The City of Kannapolis also hosts the Stories Under the Stars learning programs on Saturday evenings and the Village Park Summer Movie Series on Friday evenings.
