The Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau has promoted Julie Hinson to senior vice president of marketing and communications.
Most recently serving as the bureau’s director of communications, Hinson began her career with the organization in 2011 as a travel counselor. Over the past 15 years, she has worked to provide extraordinary service to visitors and encourage travel to Cabarrus County through various roles, including visitor services manager and communications manager.
“After starting as a part-time team member, Julie has served our visitors and our community with a true passion for this destination and the hospitality industry,” said Cabarrus County CVB President and CEO Donna Carpenter. “We’re excited to have her vision, energy and leadership guiding our marketing efforts into this next chapter.”
Since joining the CVB’s marketing team in 2013, Hinson has played a key role in sharing the stories of Cabarrus County through her work on projects such as the official destination guide, ExploreCabarrus.com and Explore Cabarrus social media channels.
As senior vice president of marketing and communications, Hinson will lead the strategic development, implementation and oversight of all marketing, branding, communications and promotional initiatives for the Cabarrus County CVB to enhance destination awareness, drive visitation, increase visitor spending, and position Cabarrus County as a premier travel and tourism destination.
