Municipal, state, and federal elections are all very important and impactful to local businesses’ bottom lines. The Chamber encourages each member to ensure their voice is heard by voting. Municipal elections traditionally have the lowest turnout, yet some of the most important issues are at stake.
Encouraging you to research the candidates
The Chamber is a non-partisan membership organization, and because of that, we do not endorse candidates. We do encourage our members to research all the candidates in their districts. To help with that, we emailed each municipal candidate in contested races, five questions based on our 2025 Legislative Agenda. The questions were sent on September 23 to the email addresses the candidates provided when they registered with the Cabarrus County Board of Elections, and their answers were due back by October 3.
We have broken their responses down by the individual races, and we “copied and pasted” each candidate’s answer verbatim – no editing, so you are reading exactly what was submitted to us. For those candidates who did not respond, it is noted at the top of the municipal page.
As a reminder, Early Voting starts Thursday, October 16, and lasts through Saturday, November 1, at the Board of Elections office (369 Church Street, North, Concord). Please refer to their website for more information. Election Day will be Tuesday, November 4. You can view the sample ballot for your municipality here.
We hope you find this informative. Please feel free to share with others!
